The Collection Lambert in Avignon and POUSH have teamed up for an exhibition featuring the work of some forty artists-in-residence at this thriving artists' incubator in Greater Paris.

Exhibition "Revenir du présent, regards croisés sur la scène actuelle" (Coming back from the present, a look at the current scene) - POUSH

Following on from La place des Corps Saints in Avignon, this season's showroom highlights another painting by Avignon painter Alfred Lesbros from the reserves.
This is an oil on canvas entitled Ancienne route d'Aramon (364 cm x 453 cm).

A la vie, à l'amor, the first monograph by Miss.Tic, who passed away in May 2022, celebrates the poetic force of her work!

A pioneer of French urban art, she was above all a poetess in the city. Her literary, societal and philosophical projects, written in aerosol ink on walls, canvases and metal sheets over a period of more than forty years, are a veritable treasure trove.

For director Lauren Laz, it's a necessity, intimately linked to the museum's vocation: to constantly expand knowledge of what we preserve.
This necessity has prompted the museum team to revisit the entire collection, interrogate the storerooms, reopen the cupboards and drawers of this home, which preserves a heritage built up by several generations of collectors...

Come and discover or (re)discover landscapes, scenes of daily life and portraits by 19th and 20th century painters linked to Avignon, from Pierre Grivolas (1823-1906) to Jean-Marie Fage (1925-2024).

A fantasy cabinet of curiosities featuring wooden creatures by Aveyron artist Renaud Robin. Creatures inspired by the fantasy world of Hayao Miyazaki, from the Japanese ecological manga "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind".

La Fukai" exhibition, a naturalist fable

As part of the Rencontres d'Aubergine program, Gaëlle Grandpierre takes up residence in the Abbey's reception area. This evolving installation combines porcelain hearts, plants and colored ribbons. It underlines the importance of linking up to form a whole that is conducive to developing and spreading life-giving ideas and feelings.

Here you can discover the exceptional collection of 17th- and 18th-century decorative arts that Louis Vouland (1883-1973), a food industry industrialist, built up over some fifty years for this house where he settled in 1927. Founded by Pope Innocent VI in 1356, it is one of the largest and most remarkable monasteries of the Carthusian order, with a church, three cloisters and forty cells, its gardens and the fresco chapel of the famous painter of the Papal Palace, Matteo Giovannetti. On Mont Andaon, Fort Saint André was commissioned by Philippe IV le Bel and built under Jean II le Bon in the 14th century. This immense 750-meter-long fortification, built to protect the Abbey of Saint André and the town, enabled the King of France to assert his power in the region.

From Avignon, on the other side of the Rh&ocirc;ne and from even farther away, you can clearly see the fort standing proudly. But it is only once you are there&nbsp; that you can fully appreciate&nbsp; the strategic position&nbsp;of this fort dominating the Rh&ocirc;ne valley. From the top of its parapet walk, you can observe the Popes &#39;s Palace across the way, the Philippe IV le Bel tower, the saint Andr&eacute; abbey encompassed within the fort&#39;s defensive&nbsp; walls,&nbsp;the chartreuse&#39;s monastery in the village below and the entire surroundings countryside.&nbsp;

You can walk among the vestiges of the old medieval village and the chapel, visit the fort&#39;s buildings and rooms that have remained intact and learn about the aspects of military life from the Middle Ages up to the french revolution.

The monumental residence of the 14th-century pontiffs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest Gothic palace in the world (15,000 m2 of floor space, equivalent to the volume of 4 Gothic cathedrals).

The visitor can see over 20 rooms, scenes of historic events, in particular the pope&rsquo;s private chambers and the frescoes painted by the Italian artist Matteo Giovannetti. The Popes&rsquo; Palace also offers the visitor continuous cultural activities throughout the year.

The ticket includes the visit of the Palace of the Popes as well as the histopad which is a touch pad that allows to live&nbsp;&nbsp;a temporal immersion in the major parts of the monument, entirely re-constituted as they could be in the 14th century.

In 1994, Bernard Castelain founded La Chocolaterie, in the heart of the famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards in the Vaucluse region. He made his first chocolate, Palet des Papes, in the spirit of finding the perfect balance between dark chocolate and Marc de Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and creating a great chocolate for a great vineyard.

The Chaterhouse, Villeneuve lez Avignon

Tuesday to Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. non-stop. Please note that the Chartreuse will be exceptionally closed between 1pm and 2pm on Tuesday April 16. Open on Mondays in July and August, and on Whit Monday. Closed May 1st Last admission: 30 minutes before closing time For the Bookshop: 11am to close of the monument. Founded by Pope Innocent VI in 1356, whose tomb it houses, the Charterhouse is one of the largest monasteries of the Carthusian order.

Take a ticket at the entrance terminal and with your materialized or dematerialized pass (e-ticket), go to the reception of your parking lot.
