Musée de la Loire
Let yourself be surprised by the Loire Museum! The Musée de la Loire, which has been awarded the "Musée de France" label, offers you a privileged encounter between the Loire and the fine arts. Discover rich and varied collections, presented in the heart of a historic monument: a former Augustinian convent.
Immerse yourself in the Loire of yesteryear! Immerse yourself in the history of the bargemen, washerwomen and sand-pullers by discovering the objects they left us which still bear witness to their vanished trade. Thanks to numerous models, you can sail on the various Loire boats for a journey through the history of river navigation.
On the first floor, two rooms are reserved for temporary exhibitions (once or twice a year). Discover the museum's modern paintings. Change worlds and continue your visit through a remarkable Fine Arts collection. From Vlaminck to Dufy, via Derain, Chagall and many others, take the time to admire the works of the Ecole de Paris artists of the early 20th century.
Come and visit the museum with your family, Ver-Vert, the Loire parrot, guides children along the water.
Enjoy your visit!
