Site Nordique de Foncine-le-Haut

The first village in the Jura department when you arrive from the Doubs, Foncine-le-Haut is the epitome of a small village in the mountains. Here you'll find all the services you'd expect on a mountain holiday: accommodation, restaurants, local shops, etc. Foncine has nothing to envy the big Alpine resorts.

Whether you're looking for fun family activities or wide open spaces to explore, there's something for everyone in this small village in the Jura mountains. There's no shortage of activities, from cross-country skiing and snowshoeing to sledging and even downhill skiing - there's never a dull moment in Foncine!

In Foncine, you can ski on either side of the village: on the Forêt du Mont Noir side, where the pistes start at Valentin's, you can reach other legendary villages in the Jura Mountains: Chapelle des Bois, Pré Poncet on one side and Bellefontaine on the other. Opposite is Bayard, on the Forêt de la Haute Joux side, with slightly easier runs and a different view of Foncine.

Foncine slopes departures:

- Chez Valentin: located on the Forêt du Mont Noir side, this is undoubtedly the best-known piste start and offers the widest variety of pistes: from green to black, there's something for everyone.
There's a welcome point, ski pass sales, restaurant, first-aid post, play area and toboggan run.

- Le Bayard - Les Arboux - trapper site: located on the Bayard, right in the heart of the Haute Joux forest, ideal if you want to enjoy several activities thanks to the 5 groomed multi-activity trails (snowshoeing, cross-country skiing). This site is also a jewel for lovers of beautiful scenery! From here, you can access a number of lookouts: the Bulay relay, the Arboux lookout and the botanical trail.
Theme trail, hors sac room, toboggan run.

- Les Grandes Côtes: the ideal starting point for cross-country skiing! The 2 green runs will give you a gentle start!
Located at the foot of the Foncine ski lift, you can vary your activities here and enjoy downhill skiing with ease.
Restaurant, first-aid post, play area, hors sac room, night run, ski school, equipment hire, toboggan run.

Downhill skiing: 1 ski lift, 2 children's snow lines (1 blue - 2 red - 2 green)
