Plantin Truffle
In under an hour, learn all the secrets of the truffle at the Truffle Institute and workshop and enjoy a gourmet tasting in their shop. The mythical truffle with its infamous scent occupies a special place in the French gastronomic “art de vivre” (or ‘art of living’). Situated in the heart of one of the world’s greatest truffle-growing regions, PLANTIN’s sole ambition since 1930 has been to sublimate the art of the truffle, while respecting noble gastronomic traditions.PLANTIN will reveal all the secrets of the mysterious world of truffles during a 45-minute guided tour of its production workshops; from the search for the most beautiful truffle fields, the most passionate producers and the finest specimens of truffles, to the practice of ancestral know-how handed down from generation to generation for 90 years. The all-oak sales and tasting area welcomes you into an authentic, natural world where you can discover the treasures of PLANTIN.

Visits: Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday (closed 15 August, 1 November and 25 December 2021)
Tour times: 2 pm and 3 pm / duration: 45 minutes
Guided tour of the truffle workshop + mushroom workshop, followed by a visit to the Institut de la Truffe (explanatory film, information on the different species of truffle, PLANTIN's expertise, etc.), followed by a gourmet tasting.
Free for children up to 17 years old and for students on presentation of proof of age.
THE PLANTIN TRUFFLE INSTITUTE SHOP is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 12pm and from 1.30pm to 7pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 7pm without interruption.
