- Pets are not permitted at this site
- The tablet is no longer on sale at the Bridge
- The museum area is no longer accessible
- It is possible to see the film via the audioguide but headphones are not provided: it is recommended to come with your own headphones or earphones.
- Access to the covered way: closed. However, the walkway is still accessible from the Jardin des Doms to the Tour des Chiens
-Duration of the visit: about 40 minutes
-The multimedia audio guide is available in 12 languages (Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Korean)
-The multimedia applications are also downloadable on smart phone or tablet (AppStore / Google Play) on the websites www.palais-des.com / www.grandavignon.fr or at the reception of the Pont d'Avignon via a specific terminal (subject to change).
-The monument has been awarded the Tourism & Handicap label for motor and mental disabilities and has audio guides adapted for the visually impaired. Museography adapted for the hearing impaired.

- JANUARY 1 TO FEBRUARY 29: 10am to 5pm* -> last admission at 4pm to the Palais and 4.30pm to the Palais gardens and the Pont d'Avignon

*School holidays from 1 to 7 January 2024 and 10 to 29 February 2024: 10am-6pm -> last admission at 5pm to the Palais and 5.30pm to the Palais Gardens and the Pont d'Avignon

- From 1 MARCH to 3 NOVEMBER: 9am-7pm -> last admission at 6pm to the Palais and at 6.30pm to the Palais gardens and the Pont d'Avignon

- From 4 NOVEMBER to 31 DECEMBER: 10am-5pm*/ -> last admission at 4pm to the Palais and at 4.30pm to the Palais gardens and the Pont d'Avignon

*School holidays from 21 December 2024 to 6 January 2025: 10am-6pm -> last admission at 5pm to the Palais and 5.30pm to the Palais gardens and the Pont d'Avignon.


The last admission to the ticket offices is 30 minutes before the monument closes.

The Avignon Bridge (Saint Bénezet), Avignon

The Saint Bénezet bridge, also known as the ‘Pont d’Avignon’, has been a major witness tothe history of Avignon and is known throughout the world thanks to the famous song, “Sur lePont d'Avignon''. The bridge was built in the 12th century but was washed away severaltimes by the flooding of the Rhône, and in the 17th century it was finally abandoned.However, it remains a classified World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
