Tower of Ferrande and Jewish Bath - Pernes les Fontaines - Office de Tourisme

Commonly known as the Pearl of the Comtat, Pernes-les-Fontaines is ideally located in the heart of Vaucluse, between Mont Ventoux and Luberon. This small Provencal town offers a pleasant living environment, with its forty fountains scattered between historic monuments and narrow streets with colorful facades. If you choose to make the trip to Pernes-les-Fontaines, make sure to take advantage of theevents that take place throughout the year and several weekly markets!

La Tour Ferrande: in the heart of the historic centre of Pernes-les-Fontaines stands the Ferrande Tower, a true historical ‘comic strip’ as the frescoes tell us the story of the conquest of Sicily by Charles of Anjou - a unique way to learn about the Middle Ages.

The Mikvah (Jewish baths): Visit the Mikvah and uncover the fascinating story of the Pope’s Jews whilst discovering Judeo-Comtadin traditions and rituals, all set within the historic townhouse, l'hôtel de Cheylus.
