Over 20 rooms are open to visitors, scenes of historic events, in particular the pope’s private chambers and the frescoes painted by the Italian artist Matteo Giovannetti. Le Palais des Papes (literally translated as the Popes’ Palace) also offers visitors continuous cultural activities throughout the year.
The ticket includes the visit to the Palais des Papes as well as the use of the histopad, a touchpad enabling a temporal immersion in the main parts of the monument, entirely re-constituted as they would have been in the 14th century.
