Inaugurated in 1971 as the "French Railway Museum," the Cité du Train - SNCF Heritage (Mulhouse, Alsace) houses one of the most important railway collections in Europe.
Three exhibition and activity spaces retrace the heroic history of railways from the 19th century to the present day, from the first steam locomotives to the TGV. The collection showcases numerous fields: science and technology, social history, decorative arts, graphic arts, and railway art.
