“Origine” tour at the Rozelieures Distillery

In the heart of Lorraine, in the village of Rozelieures, lies the family-run Grallet-Dupic distillery, a renowned site for spirit production in France. Located on a 300-hectare estate combining cereal crops and orchards, at the foot of the Essey volcano and near the Vosges, the distillery has been producing delicious mirabelle plum brandies since 1890, showcasing this emblematic regional fruit.In the early 2000s, the idea of creating a 100% Lorraine whisky emerged. The distillery then mastered every stage of production, from field to glass. Today, Rozelieures is one of the few whisky brands in the world to maintain complete autonomy, handling cereal cultivation, malting, brewing, distillation, aging, and even energy self-sufficiency, all within a unique vertically integrated model.Awarded numerous times, the distillery now offers five permanent whiskies. A film retraces the making of the first Lorraine whisky before inviting visitors into the still room for an immersive sound and light show, a true whirlwind of sensations.
