African Safari, a wildlife park located in Plaisance-du-Touch, near Toulouse, invites you to discover more than 600 exotic animals from 80 species: African elephants, lions, zebras, Siberian tigers, pink flamingos, baboons, meerkats... An immersion in the heart of nature, where every visit is an opportunity to learn and marvel at the richness of life.
Open every day, all year round, the park has two parts to visit: the safari, offering you a superb ride in your vehicle, among African animals in semi-liberty, and the park on foot, planted with trees and shaded, home to animals from all over the world. Visitors of all ages can discover, learn and be enriched, while at the same time being educated about the protection of biodiversity. The African Safari teams are keen to pass on their passion and respect for animals to their visitors. Committed to protecting local biodiversity and safeguarding endangered species, African Safari is first and foremost a family affair run by enthusiasts who do everything they can to ensure the well-being of their protégés and help conserve endangered species. Every day, the teams work hard to take care of the animals and offer visitors a moment out of time through educational visits with the sea lions and birds, and guided snacks.
Set in the heart of an oak forest, the shady park is a pleasant place in all seasons, ideal for all the family.
- In search of the prankster elves - Treasure hunt
Santa's elves have hidden away in the park to play pranks. Throughout the holidays, visitors will be on a mission to find the prankster elves hidden in the park on foot. All participants will receive a sweet reward!
Every day, included in the admission ticket.
- Make and give presents to the animals
Young and old alike can slip into the shoes of Santa's elves and make presents for the animals in the park. These gifts will serve to arouse the curiosity and stimulate the senses of the animals for their well-being. Once the gifts have been made, it's time to distribute them! Participants will be able to observe the animals' reactions and enjoy an unforgettable experience.
Wednesdays and weekends at 2pm. Bookings required. +€6 per person. For children aged 6 and over.
- Workshop to make your own 3D greetings card
A manual workshop for all the family to make a pop-up 3D greetings card. Fold, cut out, colour and leave with a special Christmas card to send to friends and family, or to keep as a souvenir!
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 2pm. Included in the admission ticket.
TYPICAL DAY AT THE ZOO (Please note: opening times vary according to the season)
- 9.30 am: Safari visit
- 10.15am: Discovery of the park on foot to see the animals.
- 11.30am: Watch the cheetahs run (Outside school holidays: weekends and bank holidays; and every day during zone C school holidays)!
- 12.00: Watch the birds in free flight during a unique event!
- 12.30pm: Enjoy a burger or poké bowl, and a natural, colour-free granita for dessert... Yum, there's something for everyone!
- 1.30pm: A short digestive walk in the park to observe the animals.
- 3pm: Meet the sea lions and their animal handlers during the educational activity. Learn more about this animal and the role of the animal keeper!
- 3.30pm: It's time for a snack with commentary for the meerkats, sakis, Asian otters, tapirs, porcupines and tigers (every day).
- 5pm: We end the day with another Safari tour and a walk around the park before closing time.
