The La Rochelle Ocean Pass is used with the &quot;La Rochelle Ocean Pass&quot; application, which can be downloaded free of charge. Valid for one year from the date of purchase, it is activated the first time it is used at one of the sites or transport included, and for 48 hours, 72 hours or 7 days.

Once in your pocket, present the QR code at the entrance to the tourist sites included and validate your journeys by bus**, TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine train*** or Nouvelle-Aquitaine coach*** using the &lsquo;Transport&rsquo; buttons in the application.

To take advantage of the additional special discounts granted to holders of a La Rochelle Ocean Pass in partner establishments, present your active and valid La Rochelle Ocean Pass at the checkout.

* 1 entry per site. Please read the conditions for visiting or entering each site: opening days and times, booking conditions, special clauses, etc. Access to guided tours, cruises, boat trips and certain sites included in the pass must be booked directly with the partner.

** Bus/passenger transport: must be validated each time you board one of the public transport services in the La Rochelle conurbation, including when transferring. In the event of a check, present your e-ticket generated by the validation and available from the application.

*** TER trains and Cars Nouvelle-Aquitaine: validate your destination each time you use the service. When you are checked, present your transport QR-Code generated during validation and available from the application.

The pass cannot be exchanged or refunded in the event of loss, theft, total or partial non-use or due to the closure or exceptional unavailability of a partner site.

Your pass also makes it easier for you to get around, giving you unlimited free use of public transport in the La Rochelle conurbation: buses, ferries and sea buses; TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine trains from La Rochelle to Rochefort, Saintes and Niort, as well as all intermediate stations; regional coaches to Ile de R&eacute;, Ile d&#39;Ol&eacute;ron, Royan, Surg&egrave;res, Marans and Cour&ccedil;on.

HOW DO I GET MY E-TICKET BACK? 
Once your purchase has been validated, you will receive your e-ticket in PDF format by e-mail. If you have not received your pass within 15 minutes of your payment, check your spam and then contact La Rochelle Tourist Office on 05 46 41 14 68. 
Find your pass number on your e-ticket then link your pass to the &lsquo;La Rochelle Ocean Pass&rsquo; mobile application available free of charge on App Store and Google play to enjoy all the benefits of the pass*. 
* The mobile application is essential for using the transport included in the La Rochelle Ocean Pass and to benefit from your special discount at the La Rochelle Aquarium.

IS MY LA ROCHELLE OCEAN PASS PERSONAL? 
No, you can buy it and give it to someone else if you wish. The name on the e-ticket is that of the purchaser, but the beneficiary may be someone else. Only the pass number and its QR code are important for using the pass.&nbsp; 
However, it is necessary to buy 1 pass per person as the pass only gives access to 1 entrance per site.

CAN I LINK SEVERAL PASSES IN THE MOBILE APPLICATION? 
Yes, from the application add the number of your pass to associate it: it is now accessible in the &lsquo;My passes&rsquo; section of the application. To add other passes, click on the + and repeat the operation as many times as necessary. 
To access the QR code for each pass, go to the &lsquo;My passes&rsquo; section and drag the pass image from left to right.

DO I NEED TO BUY PASSES FOR MY CHILDREN? 
Depending on the age of your children and the visits and activities you want to do, it may be worth buying them a La Rochelle Ocean Pass so that they can enjoy the same benefits as you. There are two ranges of youth rates for each pass duration: ADO from 12 to 17 years old and CHILDREN from 4 to 11 years old. 
If you are under 6, we advise you to buy your admission directly from the establishments, as many of the sites included in the pass are free for children under 6.

DO I HAVE TO BOOK MY VISITS? 
Yes, for certain visits and activities such as cruises, boat trips and guided tours, you must book directly with the partner concerned. 
Your booking is subject to the conditions of access defined by the partner (booking periods, maximum number of La Rochelle Ocean Pass bookings, etc.) and subject to availability. 
To make your reservation, you will be asked for your pass number. You can book a visit in advance of your stay, but your pass will not be activated until it is actually used for the first time.

ARE THE SITES INCLUDED OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND? 
Yes, for the most part, with the exception of certain activities such as cruises and certain sites that are closed in winter. 
For trips to La Rochelle during this period we offer a winter pass available for sale between November and February. Designed specifically for this season, with an adapted price, it only gives access to sites open for at least one month between November and January, not forgetting free and unlimited access to public transport in the La Rochelle conurbation, TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine trains, regional coaches and numerous discounts. &nbsp; 
We invite you to consult the opening and closing times of the sites you are interested in to avoid any disappointment. Some sites may be closed for renovation work.

HOW DO I OBTAIN AND VALIDATE MY BUS, SEA BUS AND FERRY TICKET? 
To obtain a bus, seabus or ferry ticket, you must download the La Rochelle Oc&eacute;an Pass application and enter your pass number. 
In the application, press the &lsquo;Transports en commun Y&eacute;lo&rsquo; button: a camera opens and you can flash the QR stuck on the bus, seabus or ferry and located next to the driver, simply by passing your phone in front of it. 
Validation is compulsory at every connection on your journey.

HOW DO I GET MY E-TICKET FOR THE TER TRAIN INCLUDED? 
To obtain a TER e-ticket, you must download the La Rochelle Oc&eacute;an Pass application and enter your pass number. 
When you get on board: in the application, press the &lsquo;Transports train TER&rsquo; button and then the button for your destination. Generate your ticket by pressing the &lsquo;Press here to validate your ticket when boarding&rsquo; button. 
Your e-ticket will appear: it is valid for 2 hours. If necessary, for your return journey or for a new journey to a destination included in the pass, generate a new ticket by repeating the previous operation.

HOW DO I GET MY E-TICKET FOR INCLUDED COACH TRAVEL? 
To obtain an inclusive coach ticket, you must download the La Rochelle Oc&eacute;an Pass application and enter your pass number. 
When you get on board: in the application, press the &lsquo;Transport Cars R&eacute;gionaux&rsquo; button and then the button for your destination. Generate your ticket by pressing the &lsquo;Press here to validate your ticket when boarding&rsquo; button. 
Your e-ticket will appear: it is valid for 2 hours. If necessary, for your return journey or for a new journey to a destination included in the pass, generate a new ticket by repeating the previous operation.

CAN I BE REFUNDED IF I DON&#39;T USE MY CITY PASS? 
No, the La Rochelle Ocean Pass cannot be exchanged or refunded in the event of loss, theft, total or partial non-use or due to the closure or unavailability of a partner site.

Reservations must be made by telephone with the Office de l'agglomération de Saintes et la Saintonge: 05 46 74 23 82, giving your pass number. Subject to availability.

Access by bus

Bus connection BUSS : Sainte Claire stop - Lines A and C then walk to Place Bassompierre (about 3 minutes). <a href="http://www.buss-saintes.com/" target="_blank">BUSS bus</a> routes, timetables and traffic changes PLEASE NOTE: BUSS buses are not included in your La Rochelle Océan Pass. You must pay for your tickets when you board.

The train journey from La Rochelle takes an average of 1 hour to Saintes. The SNCF station is a 15-minute walk from Place Bassompierre, the starting point for the guided tour of the Cathedral and the lower town; you can also take a BUSS bus (not included in your La Rochelle Océan Pass). ADVANTAGE INCLUDED in your La Rochelle Ocean Pass: unlimited access to TER NOUVELLE-AQUITAINE trains between La Rochelle and Saintes. In the application, press the ‘TER train transport’ button and then the button for your destination, i.e. La Rochelle < > Saintes.
