Built in the 15th century on a rocky spur, the château was transformed into a residence of pleasure in the 17th century by the Marquis Jean-Louis de Courbon.
The self-guided tour of the exterior (approx. 2 hours) includes access to the park, gardens, prehistoric caves, exhibitions, old games, the Museum of Prehistory and the PrehistoZen trail (during opening hours).
The full visit also includes a guided tour of the Château (approx. 3 hours). It is not possible to enter the Château, which is inhabited, without a guide.
The site is open all year round except :
25 December, 1 January, 6 to 31 January 2025, Sunday mornings in winter and every Saturday from 3pm from May to September.
