Located in Saint-Césaire in Charente-Maritime, 1h10 from La Rochelle, the Paléosite plunges visitors into prehistory for an immersive and educational experience. The Paleosite is a museum and interpretation centre devoted entirely to Neanderthal man, our distant cousin.

Opening times are in line with Zone A school holidays:Easter and All Saints&#39; Day holidays (Zone A): 10.30am - 6pm daily. Summer holidays: 10am - 7pm every day. Bridges and public holidays: 10.30am - 6pm   Outside Zone A school holidays:In April: every day from 10.30am to 6pm May, June and September: Wednesday to Sunday, 10.30am to 6pm In October and November: Wednesday to Friday, 12 noon to 6.00 pm and Saturday to Sunday, 10.30 am to 6.00 pm.Ticket office closes 1 hour before the site closes. Seasonally closed from mid-November to March.
