The Musée de la Mytiliculture will be showing a video documentary on the ecosystem of the maritime marshes, as well as a fun, interactive museographic display on this emblematic shellfish of the bay. Accompanied by a guide from the La Rochelle Tourist Office, you can go inside the fortified church of St-Martin d'Esnandes and climb up to the ramparts. At a height of more than 15 metres, you'll have access to an exceptional 360-degree panorama of the bay, the marshes and the surrounding villages.
Open from late April to 31 October
Guided tours depart daily at 10am and 2pm.
Museum: Wednesday to Saturday, 11am to 1.30pm and 3pm to 6.30pm. Sundays from 11am to 1.30pm. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
Seasonally closed from November to March.
