This 2500m² museum retraces the universe of automobiles, motorbikes and bicycles in the unique and magical setting of a castle on the banks of the Saône, a 15th century. castle belonging to the former Counts of Lyon.

Created by Henri Malartre in 1959, it became one of Lyon's museums in 1972. Henri Malartre (1905-2005) was the son of Victor Malartre, an automobile enthusiast who ran a local boiler-making and steel frame business.
There are 150 cars in the château, dating from 1890 to 1986, 20 of which are unique models. On the first and second floors: 40 motorbikes from 1903 to 1955 and 31 bicycles from 1818 to 1960.

Public Transport Hall: trams, trains, the "Ficelle" funicular from Fourvière.
More than 120 period posters, engines and old accessories (nearly 1000 collector's items).

Shop. Children's games and picnic area.
3-hectare park (events are organized on certain Sundays of the month).

Horaires

From Tuesday to Sunday: 10.30 am to 6 pm.

From 1 pm on the third Friday of the month.

In January, open only on weekends.Except Jan 1st, Dec 25th.
